The Aluminum Sculpture Competition, which ASAŞSANAT has implemented in order to support art and artists, to get artists to know aluminum closely and to increase their awareness of this material, is being held for the 4th time this year.
The traditional Aluminum Sculpture Competition of ASAŞSANAT, established by ASAŞ, one of the leading industrial organizations in Turkey, to support learning, Deconstruction and production processes with mutual synergy by bringing together artists, academics and students, is starting. In addition to supporting art and artists, the biennial competition aims to familiarize artists with aluminum closely, increase their awareness of the wide range of production possibilities that aluminum has, and provide artists with production support for their works at the ASAŞSANAT workshop.
Artists can apply to the competition with 1/5 scale models of their works. In this year's jury of the competition, Prof. Dr. Süleyman Saim Tekcan, Prof. Dr. Meriç Hizal, ASAŞ Board Member Safa Bayar Yavuz, ASAŞ Marketing and Corporate Communications Group Manager Demet Incirci, famous actor and sculptor Arzum Onan, sculpture artist Seçkin Pirim, Architect Nevzat Sayın and ASAŞ Art Manager Sculptor Mert Ege Köse are present. The winner of the competition will be awarded with $ 5000, the second with $ 3000, the third with $ 2000, and the work receiving honorable mention will be awarded with $ 1000. The production costs of the awarded works will be covered by ASAŞ, and then the works will be exhibited within ASAŞSANAT.
