ASAŞ, the 54th largest industrial enterprise in Turkey, has registered its works in the field of sustainability with the ASI Certificate. ASAŞ awarded its certificate in total in the categories titled management, environment and social it took it as responsible for the 11 principles of sustainability. Derya Hatiboğlu, ASAŞ General Manager, said, ”With the belief that sustainability is more than reducing our carbon footprint, we believe that joining ASI will make an important contribution to both our goals and our efforts to have a sustainable future."
ASAŞ, one of the leading industrial enterprises in Turkey, was entitled to receive the ASI Certificate issued by the Aluminum Stewardship Initiative (ASI - Aluminum Management Initiative), which works to promote the responsible production, supply and management of aluminum in cooperation. With this certificate, ASAŞ has once again proved that it supports international green production and contributes to sustainable aluminum production.
ASAŞ was entitled to receive its certificate by providing a total of 11 principles in 3 main categories entitled management, environment and social determined by ASI. These standards include issues such as greenhouse gas emissions, water use biodiversity, which cover environmental responsibilities, while the management area includes items such as business integrity, material management, transparency, and human rights, employee rights, and occupational health and safety in the social Deciency.
Emphasizing that ASAŞ, which focuses on sustainability in all its activities, works to use resources efficiently, minimize environmental impacts and make environmentally sensitive production, ASAŞ General Manager Derya Hatiboğlu said, “With the belief that sustainability is more than reducing our carbon footprint, we evaluate the environmental, social and economic challenges brought about by climate change together. ASAŞ's New Investment 45 MN Hybrex Has an Energy Efficiency of 50%
ASAŞ, which has maintained its steady growth since its establishment in 1990, shapes its investments within the framework of its sustainability perspective. The 45MN Hybrex Press Production Line, which ASAŞ contracted in 2021, will produce structural profiles such as body and battery case profiles, especially as the most modern profile production line in Europe, in addition to being the first press with a 4500 ton power hybrix feature in the world. The 45 MN Hybrix investment also stands out with its low CO2 emissions and up to 50% energy efficiency.
